Detailed explanation-1: -The poet means that he feels sorry because he can not travel both the roads. He has to choose one road and leave the other one for another day. The word that expresses his regret about this is-sorry.

Detailed explanation-2: -The poet wanted to travel both the roads because he observed that the easy road was much used than the road full of thorns.So he wanted to know that which road will help to reach the destination and which one not and he was curious to the reason why many people chose the easy way and not the difficult path.
