Detailed explanation-1: -Portfolio assessment enables students to reflect their real performance, to show their weak and strong domain and to observe student’s progress during the learning process, and encourages students to take responsibilities for their own learning.
Detailed explanation-2: -Portfolios show the cumulative efforts and learning of a particular student over time. They offer valuable data about student improvement and skill mastery. Along with student reflection, that data provides valuable information about how each student learns and what is important to him or her in the learning process.
Detailed explanation-3: -There are three different types of portfolios: process, product, and showcase. Although each type is compiled for a different audience, all have a developer, purpose, spe-cific audience, and reflection section (discussed in Chapter 3) for reflecting on the evidence.
