Detailed explanation-2: -Budget Estimates 2016-17 Total expenditure estimated at Rs 19.78 lakh crore (US$ 289 billion), an increase of 10.8 per cent over previous year. Non-plan expenditure estimated to increase by 9.1 per cent to reach Rs 14.28 lakh crore (US$ 208.6 billion).
