Detailed explanation-2: -The rule of the National Green Tribunal states that the use of 10-year old diesel-powered and 15-year old petrol-powered cars is not allowed in New Delhi.

Detailed explanation-3: -“Under the policy, the vehicles which have completed the critical age of 10 and 15 years in case of diesel and petrol variants, respectively shall be scrapped. An incentive-based system will be introduced to facilitate phasing out the unfit vehicles.

Detailed explanation-4: -The National Green Tribunal has refused to modify its order directing the deregistration of diesel vehicles in Delhi-NCR which are over 10 years old. A bench headed by NGT Chairperson Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel noted that the appeal against its order has already been dismissed by the Supreme Court.
