Detailed explanation-1: -Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) was launched to provide fixed-day assured, comprehensive and quality antenatal care universally to all pregnant women (in 2nd and 3rd trimester) on the 9th of every month.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan has been launched by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India. The program aims to provide assured, comprehensive and quality antenatal care, free of cost, universally to all pregnant women on the 9thof every month.

Detailed explanation-3: -Karyakram (JSSK) The scheme entitles all pregnant women delivering in public health institutions to absolutely free and no expense delivery including Caesarean section. This initiative also provides for free transport from home to institution, between facilities in case of a referral and drop back home.
