Detailed explanation-2: -Chandigarh on 15th July 2007, was declared a smoke-free city. It was claimed to be India’s first city, with a ban on smoking in public places. Smoking in public places was banned with the implementation of the provisions of the Central Tobacco Control Act in all parts of the city.
