Detailed explanation-1: -South Delhi Municipal Corporation on June 20 inked a pact with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to generate 20MW solar power through rooftop of buildings and spare land under the civic body.

Detailed explanation-2: -The policy has been envisaged with the objective of increasing the installed capacity of rooftop solar plants so that they can fulfil 10% of Delhi’s annual energy demand. The plan will also contribute to the creation of 40, 000 new green jobs in this sector.
