Detailed explanation-1: -The biannual C40 Mayors Summit is the world’s foremost gathering of political, business and intellectual leaders focused on forging a resilient, low carbon urban future, and will take place this year in Mexico City from November 30 to December 2, 2016.

Detailed explanation-2: -The C40 World Mayors Summit is our triennial climate action conference organised in partnership with a C40 member city. The 2022 Summit, hosted by the City of Buenos Aires from 19–21 October, was a hybrid in-person and virtual event.

Detailed explanation-3: -In October 2022, the City of Buenos Aires hosted the C40 World Mayors Summit, bringing together global mayors alongside business leaders, philanthropists, campaigners, youth leaders, scientists and residents.

Detailed explanation-4: -2006 – By 2006, the C40 Steering Committee invited a further 22 mayors to join, ensuring balance from the Global South, creating an organisation of 40 cities, and thus the name C40. That year, President Bill Clinton’s Climate Initiative (CCI) became our implementing partner on world-class climate action projects.
