Detailed explanation-1: -Article 335 “The claims of the members of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes shall be taken into consideration, consistently with the maintenane of efficiency of administration, in the making of appointments to services and posts in connection with • the affairs of the Union or of a State."

Detailed explanation-2: -Article 342 provides for specification of tribes or tribal communities or parts of or groups within tribes or tribal communities which are deemed to be for the purposes of the Constitution the Scheduled Tribes in relation to that State or Union Territory.
