Detailed explanation-1: -Defence Acquisition Council approves proposals worth Rs 4, 276 crore. Defence Acquisition Council on Tuesday approved three proposals worth 4, 276 crore rupees to strengthen the country’s deterrence and combat readiness.

Detailed explanation-2: -DAC is the highest decision-making body in the Defence Ministry for deciding on new policies and capital acquisitions for the three services – Army, Navy and Air Force, and the Indian Coast Guard. The Defence Acquisition Council is headed by the Defence Minister.
