Detailed explanation-1: -An Optional Travel Insurance Scheme with a cover of upto Rs. 10 lakh was launched w.e.f 01.09. 2016 for the Confirmed/RAC railway passengers who book online e-ticket through official website of Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) which is a wholly owned undertaking of Ministry of Railways.
