Detailed explanation-1: -Union Government of India launched Swachh Swasth Sarvatra initiative to strengthen health centers in open defecation-free (ODF) blocks. This Swachh Swasth Sarvatra initiative taken in association with Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Detailed explanation-2: -Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen (SBM-G), the flagship programme of the Government of India, today recorded another milestone – of 101462 villages declaring themselves as ODF (open defecation free) Plus.

Detailed explanation-3: -Under the mission, all villages, Gram Panchayats, Districts, States and Union Territories in India declared themselves “open-defecation free” (ODF) by 2 October 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, by constructing over 100 million toilets in rural India.

Detailed explanation-4: -The mission aims to cover 10.4 million households by providing 0.25 million community toilets, 0.26 million public toilets and a solid waste management facility in each town. Under the programme, community toilets are built in residential areas where it is difficult to construct individual household toilets.
