Detailed explanation-1: -Dr. Verghese Kurien ’s birthday is commemorated on November 26th with the National Milk Day. He is credited with bringing India’s “white revolution.” The white revolution was started by Dr. Verghese Kurien, who also made India’s largest self-sustaining industry the dairy farm.

The story lies in the year 1970 when the National Diary Development Board (NDDB) began a rural development program called Operation Flood. This program was considered one of the largest and aimed to develop a milk grid throughout the country.
