Detailed explanation-1: -The programme jointly executed with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is currently operational in 170 districts of the country. Focus of “JIGYASA” is on connecting school students and scientists so as to extend student’s classroom learning with that of a very well planned research laboratory based learning.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Jigyasa programme is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a new India and Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) of Scientific Community and Institutions. Jigyasa, a student-scientist connect programme has been launched by the government in New Delhi.

Detailed explanation-3: -Virtual Science Lab was launched under CSIR Jigyasa Programme. This programme will connect students with scientists across India. This Lab will provide a virtual tour of CSIR laboratories as well as expose students to research infrastructure.

Detailed explanation-4: -He said, the target audience for the Virtual Lab platform is students of the standard VI to XII (11-18 years) who would like to explore science using different activities, experienced researchers and faculties on the subjects of Science, Mathematics, Biology and IT.
