Detailed explanation-1: -News release. Over the past few years, the Government of Canada has kept its commitment to help Yazidi refugees and other survivors of Daesh start new lives in this country. Over 1, 400 have settled in Canada since 2017, escaping unimaginable horrors at the hands of Daesh.

Detailed explanation-2: -The 2021 Census revealed Toowoomba is now home to the largest group of Yazidi people in Australia. Services are under major strain trying to supply interpreters and case workers to almost 3, 000 people.
