Detailed explanation-1: -MGNREGA was implemented in 200 districts in the first phase with effect from February 2006 and extended subsequently, to additional 113 and 17 districts with effect from April 1st 2007 and May 15th 2007, respectively.

Detailed explanation-2: -Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme was launched by Govt. of India in all Gram Panchayats of districts Mahendergarh and Sirsa on 2nd February, 2006 and this scheme was also extended in two more districts namely Ambala & Mewat w.e.f. 1st April, 2007.

Detailed explanation-3: -Employment Guarantee Scheme was first introduced in Maharasthra in 1972−73. The scheme was the first of its kind to give recognition to the ‘right to work’ enshrined in the constitution.
