Detailed explanation-1: -Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has launched an Anti-Ragging Mobile App of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to help students register complaints against the menace of ragging in the country.
Detailed explanation-2: –(1) Whosoever, directly or indirectly, commits or participates in or abets or propagates ragging within or, outside any educational institution shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees or with both.
Detailed explanation-3: -An Anti-Ragging Mobile Application was launched on 29th May, 2017 for filing the complaint on ragging/ filing the anti-ragging undertaking/ for calling the helpline number.
