Detailed explanation-1: -The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today dedicated the Bidar – Kalaburagi New Railway Line to the Nation, by unveiling a plaque at Bidar Railway Station. The Prime Minister also flagged off the DEMU Service between Bidar and Kalaburagi.

Detailed explanation-2: -Kalaburagi Junction railway station, formerly Gulbarga Junction railway station (Station code: KLBG) is located in Kalaburagi district in the Indian state of Karnataka and serves Kalaburagi.

Detailed explanation-3: -The first Railway line in Karnataka was opened for traffic in 1864. It started from Bangalore to Madras. The first railway line established in the state was the Bangalore-Mysore Junction metre gauge line.

Detailed explanation-4: -Bengaluru, Ballari. Hint: In 1809, Bengaluru emerged as a crucial military hub with the establishment of the British cantonment. In 1864 as per the recommendation of the British the first railway line was laid out in Karnataka.
