Detailed explanation-1: -A meeting of Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), held on January 10, 2023 under the chairmanship of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for three capital acquisition proposals, amounting to Rs 4, 276 crore.

Detailed explanation-2: -The DAC has approved the AoNs for the Indian Army to get equipment and platforms including the long awaited FICV, Mounted Gun systems (MGS), Light Tanks that are required to be deployed in difficult terrain in the Western sector. These platforms and equipment are expected to help the Army’s operational preparedness.
