Detailed explanation-1: -Union Cabinet has approved the establishment of National Institute of Mental Health Rehabilitation (NIMHR) in Sehore District instead of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.

Detailed explanation-2: -National Institute of Mental Health Rehabilitation (NIMHR) will be set up in Sehore District, Madhya Pradesh. About: NIMHR will be the first of its kind in the country in the area of mental health rehabilitation.

Detailed explanation-3: -NIMHR – Sehore is registered under the MP Societies Registration Act, 1973 vide Registration no. 01/02/01/35371/19 dated 28 May 2019.

Detailed explanation-4: -Vision: To promote MH, prevent mental illnesses, enable recovery from the mental illness, promote destigmatization and desegregation, and socioeconomic inclusion of PWMI by providing accessible, affordable, and quality health and social care to all persons through their lifespan within a rights-based framework.

Detailed explanation-5: -To address the huge burden of mental disorders and shortage of qualified professionals in the field of mental health, Government of India has been implementing National Mental Health Program (NMHP) since 1982. The district Mental Health Program was added to the Program in 1996.
