Detailed explanation-1: -Digi Yatra policy is an initiative launched by Ministry of Civil Aviation for biometric boarding system using Facial Recognition Technology. It aims at providing seamless and hassle-free experience for passengers at airports.

Detailed explanation-2: -DigiYatra, a passenger processing system based on facial recognition technology in use at Delhi, Bengaluru and Varanasi airports, has been developed by Hyderabad-based startup Dataevolve Solutions, MoS for Civil Aviation General (retired) VK Singh said.

Detailed explanation-3: -The Digi Yatra service is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Civil Aviation for biometric boarding system using the facial recognition technology (FRT). It is a voluntary facility for air travellers to provide seamless and hassle-free experience at the Indian airports.

Detailed explanation-4: -To use this facility, one-time registration is required to be done on the ‘DigiYatra’ App through an Aadhar-based validation and a self-image capture. A Digi Yatra ID will be generated which must be shared when purchasing tickets. The departing airport will receive this ID and passenger data from the airlines.
