Detailed explanation-1: -In its recommendations for the auction of the 5G spectrum, the telecom regulatory body suggested that the base price for prime 5G band of 3300-3670 MHz be kept at Rs 317 crore per MHz, which is 35 per cent lower than the base price of Rs 492 crore per MHz announced in 2018.

Detailed explanation-2: -The price of the spectrum increased by more than 44.8 per cent over the base price of Rs 18.65 crore per block (each block of 0.2 MHz).

Detailed explanation-3: -On April 11, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) had recommended a reserve price of Rs 317 crore a unit for airwaves in the premium 3.3-3.67 GHz 5G band (also known as C-band), a 36% reduction to its last recommendation in 2018.
