Detailed explanation-1: -In Short. By India Today Web Desk: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday said the vehicles of India’s top constitutional authorities will need to have registration numbers, ANI reported.

Detailed explanation-2: -New number plate in India: BH series number plate The BH series number plate or the Bharat Series is a series of number plates for non-transport Vehicles introduced in India on 28th August, 2021. The registration for the same started from 15th September, 2021.

Detailed explanation-3: -594(E) dated 26th August, 2021 wherein a new registration mark namely “Bharat (BH) series” has been incorporated in the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, This has come into force with effect from 15th September, 2021.

The commuters, irrespective of the type of vehicle they own will have to install an HSRP number plate on every vehicle, or else if found guilty will be penalised for about Rs 5, 000 to Rs 10, 000.

MORTH has declared that it is mandatory for citizens of India to have HSRP Number Plate for Old Vehicle 2023 (vehicles sold before April 2019). Also, colour-coded fuel stickers are now compulsory for Old vehicles.
