Detailed explanation-1: -The government has launched some mega projects in defence such as P75I submarines, Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) for fifth-generation fighter jets, Tejas MK2 Multirole Fighter Aircraft (MRFA), and light tank ‘Zorawar’ for the land forces among others.

Detailed explanation-2: -India is currently working on its fifth-generation AMCA which will have some sixth-generation technologies. IAF’s new chief, Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari reaffirms this in an interview given on 22 October 2021.

Detailed explanation-3: -The Rafale is a 4.5-generation aircraft and has helped India regain its supremacy over Indian subconstituent skies with long-range air-to-air and air-to-ground along with advanced radar and electronic warfare capabilities.

Detailed explanation-4: -Fighters. ADA has completed design work on an Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), which is a twin-engined 5.5 generation stealth multirole fighter with the capability to fly uncrewed. It will complement the HAL Tejas, the Sukhoi Su-30MKI, MWF and the Dassault Rafale in the Indian Air Force.
