Detailed explanation-1: -Appointed as Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh vide Notification No. 11019/46/2022-US. I/II(i) dated 06th December,2022. Justice Sanjeev Kumar was Born on 8th of April, 1966 in village Prehta Nagrota of Tehsil Basohli Distt.

Detailed explanation-2: -“In exercise of the power conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint, Shri Justice Tashi Rabstan, senior-most Judge of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, with effect from 08.12.

Detailed explanation-3: -The new Chief Justice of India is Justice D.Y. Chandarchud who took his oath in presence of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu on 8th November 2022.

Detailed explanation-4: -1928, the Maharaja appointed Lala Kanwar Sein as the First Chief Justice of the Court and Rai Bahadur Lala Bodh Raj Sawhney and Khan Sahib Aga Syed Hussain as Puisne Judges.
