Detailed explanation-1: -The MoU between the two countries was signed on Wednesday during the inaugural session of the India-Singapore Technology Summit 2022, which was held virtually and co-organised by Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, India’s Department of Science and Technology and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Detailed explanation-2: -India occupies 3rd rank in terms of number of PhDs awarded in Science and Engineering (S&E) (nearly 25,000) after the USA and China. India ranks 3rd globally in terms of number of Startups (77,000) and in terms of no of UNICORNs (107) in the world.
