Detailed explanation-1: -In August, Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had said that as many as 1,215 stations have so far been developed, and 38 more were to be developed under Adarsh Station Scheme by 2022-23.

Detailed explanation-2: -It runs 13,169 passenger trains daily, on both long-distance and suburban routes, covering 7,325 stations across India. Mail or Express trains, the most common types of trains, run at an average speed of 50.6 km/h (31.4 mph). Suburban EMUs run at an average speed of 37.5 km/h (23.3 mph).

Detailed explanation-3: -Adarsh Station Yojana is a scheme, that was launched on 2009. Development/modernization of stations is presently taken up under ‘Adarsh Station Scheme’. The expenditure on development of stations under ‘Adarsh’ Station Scheme is generally funded under Plan Head –’Passenger Amenities’.
