Detailed explanation-2: -Bandipur National Park is located in Gundulpet taluk, Chamarajanagar district. Park is the part of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve making it largest protected area in Southern India and largest habitant of Wild Elephants in South Asia.

Detailed explanation-3: -The park is one of the richest wildlife areas in India, being particularly noted for its intact assemblage of seven large angulate species (muntjac, chital, sambar, chousingha, gaur, wildpig and elephant) and three large predatory carnivores – tiger, leopard and dholes.
