Detailed explanation-1: -NEW DELHI: India on Friday tested its own hypersonic technology demonstrator vehicle (HSTDV) powered by a scramjet engine, amid the ongoing race among China, Russia and the US to manufacture manoeuverable hypersonic weapons that fly over five times the speed of sound and can negate missile defence systems.
