Detailed explanation-1: -Syama Prasad Mookerjee Tunnel, also known as Chenani-Nashri Tunnel is a road tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is located in the Lower Himalayas, on National Highway 44. Construction started in 2011 and was completed by 2017.

Detailed explanation-2: -Keeping in view the inclement winters around the Patnitop range, where the roads get blocked due to heavy snowfall, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was entrusted with the responsibility for the development of this 9-km-long Chenani-Nashri tunnel to by-pass Patnitop.
