Detailed explanation-1: -2. How many AYUSH HWCs are to be established in the country? As per the decision taken on 30.01. 2019 by the Government of India, 10% (12,500) of the total Health and Wellness centres (HWCs) targeted under Ayushman Bharat Scheme would be developed by Ministry of AYUSH in a phased manner from year 2019-20 to 2023-24.

Detailed explanation-2: -RECENT INITIATIVES UNDER NPCDCS AYUSH facilities and methodologies are being integrated with NPCDCS services for prevention and management of common NCDs, wherein the practice of Yoga is an integral part of the intervention.

Detailed explanation-3: -Ayushman Bharat (AB) is an attempt to move from a selective approach to health care to deliver comprehensive range of services spanning preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative care. It has two components which are complementary to each other.
