Detailed explanation-1: -To achieve Aatmanirbharta and realise the goal of ‘Make in India’, Government of India has established two Defence Industrial Corridors (DICs) in the country, one in Uttar Pradesh and other in Tamil Nadu.

Detailed explanation-2: -Agra, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Kanpur and Lucknow have been identified for developing Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC). Similarly, 05 (five) nodes viz. Chennai, Coimbatore, Hosur, Salem, and Tiruchirappalli identified for developing Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor (TNDIC).

Detailed explanation-3: -The Government has established two Defence Industrial Corridors (DICs) in the country, one in Uttar Pradesh namely Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC) and other in Tamil Nadu namely Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor (TNDIC) with an aim to attract investment of about Rs 10,000 crore in each corridor.

Detailed explanation-4: -To support the growth of the Defence sector and enhance manufacturing capacity in the sector, the government is setting up two Defence Industrial Corridors in India, one in Uttar Pradesh and another in Tamil Nadu.

Detailed explanation-5: -There are 11 Industrial corridors in India. They are Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC), Extension of CBIC to Kochi via Coimbatore, Amritsar Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC), Hyderabad Nagpur Industrial Corridor (HNIC).
