Detailed explanation-1: -Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) is one of the largest public health programmes targeting close of 2.67 crore newborns and 2.9 crore pregnant women annually.

Detailed explanation-2: -A combined live vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella (UIP) is used widely for the immunization of children in certain regions of the world, including India because of its advantages over individual vaccines.
