Detailed explanation-1: -Detailed Solution. Gujarat has retained its first position in the Composite Water Management Index (CWMI) 2.0 announced by the NITI Aayog.

Detailed explanation-2: -Gujarat has retained rank one in the followed by Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. In North Eastern and the Himalayan States, Himachal Pradesh has been adjudged number one followed by Uttarakhand, Tripura and Assam.
