Detailed explanation-1: -Union textiles minister Smriti Irani on Friday launched the Integrated Large Scale Eri Farming in Arunachal Pradesh under North East Region Textile Promotion Scheme (NERTPS).

Detailed explanation-2: -The North East Region Textile Promotion Scheme (NERTPS) is an umbrella scheme implemented in project mode to promote textiles industry in the NER by providing infrastructure, capacity building and marketing support to the industry.

Detailed explanation-3: -Jhum cultivation and terrace farming are two major forms of farming practices commonly used by the farmers in Arunachal Pradesh. In Jhum cultivation, lands are composed by cutting down or burning the unwanted cultivation. Once the crops are grown and harvested, the farmers burn the land.
