Detailed explanation-1: -The ‘basic pay’ does not include any other type of pay like special pay, etc. DA for central government employees and DR for central government pensioners have been increased from 34 per cent to 38 per cent of the basic pay. The revised rate will be applicable from July 1, 2022.

Detailed explanation-2: -2022. The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the release of additional instalment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief 4% to Central Government employees and pensioners due from 01.07.

Detailed explanation-3: -2022 for enhancing Dearness Relief to Central Government pensioners/Family pensioners from 34% to 38% of basic pension/family pension. Revised rate is effective from 01.07. 2022.”

Detailed explanation-4: -Employees get a DA hike twice every year. It is expected that there will be an increase of 3 per cent in DA this year in January 2023.
