Subject:"Guidelines on Constitution and Administration of the State Disaster Response Fund and National Disaster Response Fund".

Detailed explanation-2: -The State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) is a fund constituted under section 48(1) (a) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 (53 of 2005) (hereinafter DM Act, 2005).

Detailed explanation-3: -In pursuance to the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, the Government of India has notified the constitution of the National Disaster Response Fund vide the Gazette of India, Extraordinary Part-II-Section 3- Sub-section(ii) Notification No. 1995 dated September 28th 2010.

Detailed explanation-4: -It is important to understand that the contribution to SDRF from the Union and State Governments is a constitutional mandate which is not at the discretion of any government, whereas the release of funds from NDRF is dependent on the nature of the disaster and based on the recommendations of the High-Level Committee.
