Detailed explanation-1: -Government has established 2 Defence Industrial Corridors in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The two defence corridors have together signed 158 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with industries representing investments worth INR 23, 933 cr (USD 2.9 Bn).

Detailed explanation-2: -The Government has established two Defence Industrial Corridors (DICs) in the country, one in Uttar Pradesh namely Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC) and other in Tamil Nadu namely Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor (TNDIC) with an aim to attract investment of about Rs 10, 000 crore in each corridor.

Detailed explanation-3: -Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor consists of six nodal points: Agra, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Kanpur and Lucknow. Tamil Nadu Defence Corridor consists of five nodal points: Chennai, Coimbatore, Hosur, Salem, Tiruchirappalli. Both the corridors received potential investment of almost Rs 24, 000 crore.
