Detailed explanation-1: -The National Supercomputing Mission was launched in 2015 to enhance the research capacities and capabilities in the country by connecting them to form a Supercomputing grid, with the National Knowledge Network (NKN) as the backbone.

Detailed explanation-2: -National Supercomputing Mission, is a mission of the Government of India to boost the supercomputing capabilities of India. This mission consists of designing and manufacturing 73 supercomputers in India. These cluster of supercomputers will be connected to various academic and research institutions across India.

Detailed explanation-3: -One of the fastest supercomputer in India is PARAM Ananta which was launched on May 30, 2022, at IIT, Gandhinagar. This supercomputer was developed under the NSM by C-DAC and IIT Gandhinagar. It is at 102 positions among the world’s top 500 supercomputers, with a peak performance of 3.3 Petaflops.

Detailed explanation-4: -PARAM Supercomputers In January, Indian Institute of Science, Karnataka, launched India’s most powerful supercomputer, Param Pravega designed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing. The computer has 4 petabytes of storage and 3.3 petaflops of peak computing power.
