Detailed explanation-1: -The One Nation One Ration Card facility was started as inter-State portability of ration cards in 4 States w.e.f. August 2019. As on February 2022, 35 states/UTs have implemented the scheme.

Detailed explanation-2: -ONORC is a technology driven scheme which is being implemented by the Central Government for the nation-wide portability of ration cards under National Food Security Act (NFSA).

Detailed explanation-3: -The One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) plan, for nation-wide portability of the National Food Security Act 2013 (NFSA) beneficiaries is presently enabled in all the 36 States/UTs across the country, covering entire NFSA population (around 80 Crore NFSA beneficiaries) in the country.

Detailed explanation-4: -The scheme has now been implemented all over the country with Assam being the latest state to join the initiative in June 2022. The ONORC, which was launched as a pilot project on August 9, 2019 in four states, has completed three years.
