Detailed explanation-1: -World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) is organized by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP). WHO has been co-sponsor of the day. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness around the globe that suicide can be prevented.

Started by the International Association for Suicide Prevention with the support of WHO (World Health Organisation) in 2003, hundreds of events and campaigns are organised in several countries globally.
