Detailed explanation-1: -The NMC bill was passed by parliament and approved by President on 8 August 2019. National Medical Commission ordinance was brought in to replace Medical Council of India in early 2019 through an ordinance issued in January, 2019 by the President of India.

Detailed explanation-2: -National Medical Commission (NMC) replaced the Medical Council of India (MCI) as the new regulator for medical education and medical professionals.
