Detailed explanation-2: -The prime goal of this scheme of the Karnataka government is to promote the birth of girl children in below poverty line (BPL) families and to raise the status of the girl child in the family in particular and society in general.

Detailed explanation-3: -The government of Karnataka introduced the Bhagyalakshmi scheme from 2006 to 07. The scheme’s main objective is to promote a girl child’s birth in low-income families and raise them. This scheme is for only two girl children in a BPL family.

Detailed explanation-4: -All girl children born to below poverty line (BPL) families after 31 March 2006 are eligible to take benefits under this scheme. The birth Enrolment should be done up to one year of the birth of the child on the submission of the birth certificate. This scheme is for only two girl children of the BPL family.

Detailed explanation-5: -When the girl attains the age of 18 years, the maturity value of the fixed deposit (Rs 34751) is to be given to her. If the second child in the same family is enrolled under the scheme, the maturity amount of Rs. 40, 918 is to be paid.
