Detailed explanation-1: -In the country‘s first and unique drive, the Goa government has tied up with India Posts to get 11, 000 farmers enrolled in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar said on Friday.

Detailed explanation-2: -The scheme was first conceived and implemented by government of Telangana as the Rythu Bandhu scheme, where a certain amount is given directly to eligible farmers. The scheme has received accolades from various organisations for its successful implementation, including World Bank.

Detailed explanation-3: -Under the PM-Kisan scheme, income support of Rs.6, 000 per year is given to all farmer families having cultivable land in their name, irrespective of the size of their landholdings.

Detailed explanation-4: -Under this scheme, all small and marginal farmers will be provided with income support of Rs. 6, 000 per year in three instalments which will be deposited directly to their bank accounts. The total annual expenditure for this scheme is expected to be Rs. 75, 000 crore which will be financed by the Union Government.
