Detailed explanation-1: -Zulfiqar Hasan, a 1988 batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre, has been appointed as the Director General of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. BCAS is a wing of the Civil Aviation Ministry looking after civil aviation security.

Detailed explanation-2: -Usha Padhee, joint secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has been given additional charge as Director-General, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). She is the first woman and third IAS officer to have been appointed to the post.
