Detailed explanation-1: -Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers Sujoy Lal Thaosen and Anish Dayal Singh have been appointed as the new director generals of the CRPF and ITBP respectively, a government order said Saturday.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Union government has announced to give additional charge as Border Security Force (BSF) DG to senior Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS officer and CRPF Director General (DG) Sujoy Lal Thaosen a day ahead of retirement of incumbent Pankaj Kumar Singh on December 31.

Detailed explanation-3: -Thaosen on October 3 took charge as 37th Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the largest Central armed police force mandated to provide internal security in the country.
