Detailed explanation-1: -According to Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, six lakh villages in India will get internet connectivity by 2024 under the Bharat Net programme.

Detailed explanation-2: -Internet in India began in 1986 and was available only to the educational and research community. General public access to the internet began on 15 August 1995, and as of July 2022 there are 833 million active internet users that comprise 59.28% of the population.

Detailed explanation-3: -The Indian government introduced the BharatNet Scheme as part of the Digital India initiative that provides high-speed internet connectivity in and around rural areas at an affordable cost. With the help of optical fibre, this high-speed digital internet connectivity will be made available to people in rural areas.
