Detailed explanation-1: -The New Rewari-New Madar section of the WDFC is situated in Haryana –approximately 79 km in Mahendragarh and Rewari districts – and Rajasthan –approximately 227 km in Jaipur, Ajmer, Sikar, Nagaur and Alwar districts.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Rewari – Madar section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor is situated in Haryana (approx. 79 Km, in Mahendragarh and Rewari districts) and Rajasthan (approx. 227 Km, in Jaipur, Ajmer, Sikar, Nagaur and Alwar districts). It consists of nine newly built DFC stations in which six are crossing stations viz.

Detailed explanation-3: -This section contains 16 major bridges, 269 minor bridges, four rail flyovers, 22 road overbridges and 177 road underbridges eliminating 148 level crossings. There are totally nine newly-built DFC stations in this section, six crossing stations.

Detailed explanation-4: -Under the Eleventh Five Year Plan of India (2007–12), the Ministry of Railways started constructing a new Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) in two long routes, namely the Eastern and Western freight corridors.

Detailed explanation-5: -As the need for a dedicated freight corridor arose, in December 2006, an agreement was signed between India and Japan for the Development of two exclusive rail freight corridors, also known as Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) as a part of economic co-operation for industry and trade.
