Detailed explanation-1: -Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Saryu Nahar National Project in Balrampur, UP today. Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat were among those present on the occasion.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Saryu Canal National Project was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In December 2021, the 6, 623-kilometer irrigation project went into operation. The irrigation project uses a network of canals to irrigate 1.4 lakh hectares of land in 6, 200 communities.

Detailed explanation-4: -The Saryu Nahar National Project was built at a total cost of more than Rs 9, 800 crore, out of which more than Rs 4, 600 crore was provisioned in the last four years. It also involves interlinking of five rivers - Ghaghara, Saryu, Rapti, Banganga and Rohini to ensure optimum usage of water resources of the region.
