Detailed explanation-1: -India’s first Atal Community Innovation Center unveiled at VGU Jaipur. India’s first Atal Community Innovation Center (ACIC) has been launched at Vivekananda Global University (VGU) in Jaipur. It is the first center in the country to be set up by the Government of India, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and NITI Aayog.

Detailed explanation-2: -Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog is Government of India’s flagship initiative to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country and was setup in 2016.

Detailed explanation-3: -Atal Community Innovation Centers have been launched to encourage a spirit of entrepreneurship in the underserved/unserved regions of India by providing enabling infrastructure and facilitating environment for innovation.

Detailed explanation-4: -ACIC is envisaged to serve the unserved/underserved areas of the country with respect to the start-up and innovation ecosystem. Each ACIC is supported with a grant of up to INR 2.5 crores over a period of 5 years. AIM has established 14 Atal Community Innovation Centres across the country.

Detailed explanation-5: -With a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’, Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India.
